We have been in charge of refreshing the Dethier Architectures identity. «the simplest the better» was the idea, keeping in mind that architecture is a 3D approch of space. So we tried to keep a kind of game with business card to give an impression of relief without using the embossing. Unfortunately, this project has not been used but we like it very much.

We believe in the power of classic or «boring» projects like born and wedding announcement. We had the chance to create a very cool wedding one all drawn, printed and cutted by hand on a A5 800gr textured drawing paper.

Number Six parties take place every saturday at Wood, Brussels. We are in charge of monthly flyers and posters. On this project, we wanted to find a way to interpret a kind of controlled freedom that the body could expresses through the dance in a club. A «controlled freedom» because we are always the owner of our movements. So, it was interesting to treat the subject by basing itself on the inkblot symmetry technique that looks unpredictable but which is not. Your finger always shows a way that ink follows under the paper… And we like that metaphor involved in the way people behave on a dance floor. So, having scanned tons of tiny inkblots, we recomposed them in our way to obtain some hypnotic graphics, something very organic which works very well with the location. Finally, monthly graphics change according to the season.
We’ve been in charge of re drawing the logo too… Be sure to visit our friend Elsa Z. Mersayeva’s portfolio who worked with us on this project !

Ladies & Girls is a video project launched by Ophelie D’ippolito. When she asked us for a logo, she wanted something very girly, something that could be made by hand, a cool modern sign. We decided to work with our little hands ( so ) and play with a necklace chain to create the logo. We didn’t want to represent videography by an illustration which would accompany the logo. So, we decided to keep the photographic support which has a very close relationship with videography.

NO STYLE NO GLORY» is an exhibition which took place at the Ianchelvici Museum in 2009. The title of this exhibition being so strong and explicit, we wanted very discrete graphics, almost invisible but that a strong image brings a great impact to the work. So we chose this sculpture of Belgian artist Messieurs Delmotte which corresponded ideally to the title «NO STYLE NO GLORY»

We are always happy to create some stuff that we didn’t expect to work on. And as born announcements are always very ugly, we decided that this one should be the exception. When Ernesto was born, this announcement was sent with a cigar and a mini bottle of Rum in memory of Ernesto Guevara better known as Che Guevara.
For some privacy reasons, we are not able to show the whole work but trust us, it is the best born announcement ever ;)

We worked on a typographical sticker for Sophie Langohr’s exhibition. As she works a lot on skins and hairs with a nice sense of humour we decided together to use the same kind of colors with a kind of old letters to contrast with that funny pink touch.

When FST handwear asked us to design a pair of gloves for their exhibition, we immediately wanted to create a kind of funny black & white tattoo that people could wear and remove easily of their hands. The drawing is based on the idea that everybody would like to be a finger to wear some FST handwear gloves, even Michael Jackson.
